We have known that a new Harry Potter story was set to be played out on the stage in London for a while now and while undeniably great news many fans were worried they would never be able to experience this next chapter in the Potterverse for themselves.
Well, with the news that the script has been adapted into the 8th official Harry Potter book those fears have been allayed.

Here is the official synopsis taken from Pottermore on the story:
“It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”
It’s been a staggering nine years since the series wrapped up with The Deathly Hallows and while our Potter fix has been patched up with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them finally coming to the big screen in November, starring Academy Award Winner Eddie Redmayne, news of The Cursed Child being adapted into an official book is making 2016 a year full of magic to look forward to.
